Prior to entering the academia, Dr. Bhamornsiri worked for an import-export company in Thailand and a manufacturing firm in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Bhamornsiri teaches courses in managerial and financial accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In recent years, in addition to his teaching responsibility at UNC Charlotte, he has taught graduate-level Management Accounting in Thailand, Mexico, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Dr. Bhamornsiri received the Bank of America Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1987, the Thomas C. Turner Teaching Excellence Award in 1997, the Belk College’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 1999 and the Belk College’s Outstanding Service Award in 1998. His research interests include behavioral and professional practices. In addition to presenting papers at various professional meetings, Dr. Bhamornsiri has published in accounting journals that include Issues in Accounting Education, Advances in Accounting Education Journal, the Journal of Accountancy, the CPA Journal and Managerial Auditing Journal. Dr. Bhamornsiri is past president of the Charlotte Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. Bhamornsiri joined the Belk College faculty in 1978.
